Rules and Regulations for the Anastacia Fans United Message Board These forum rules should be obeyed at all times, by all members. 1. No using or stealing of someone else’s name. This includes giving someone else your user name and password so they can log in. Accounts are free and quick to set up!
2. It is not possible to change your name after you have registered. Think through what you want your name to be as all requests to change the username will be ignored. 3. Do not purposely try to anger someone. Do not harass, attack or retaliate against another member. Breaking this rule will earn you a Yellow Card. If you do not adjust your behavior you will be banned from the forum. 4. Do not tell people what they can or can not do. That is the administrator’s and moderator’s job. 5. Do not use obscene, abusive, hateful or vulgar language. AFU is visited by people of all ages. We have seen complaints that you are not happy that we “censor” certain words on this board. We have even seen it said that “Anastacia uses that bad words so why can’t we”. Yes, she uses that language in her songs and probably in life but I highly doubt she would use it in front of young people. We have young people on the board and out of consideration for them, some words are starred out (ex. sh*t). We all still know what it means without having to look at the word in its entirety. 6. Moderators and Administrators reserve the right to edit or delete any post, at any time, at our discretion, without permission or advance notice. There are many members on this board, keeping it running smoothly requires some hard decisions. If a member has their post edited by staff, there was a reason for it. If a member goes back and re-inserts what was edited out, that is grounds for immediate removal from AFU.
7. All topics where people share or ask for commercial materials (things that can be bought) will be deleted without warning. This forum is a public forum and we do not want commercial materials to flow around. 8. If a moderator notices someone is breaking the rules then the person will be yellow carded and told to look over the rules. If the person continues to break the rules they will be banned. Cards are assigned subjectively. In other words, we may not immediately assign one to someone who changes their signature to a large picture. However, if they refuse to change it, we will assign a yellow card. If someone is rude and/or vulgar, it would most likely result in an immediate yellow card. 9. Not respecting these rules or refusing to change your behavior after being issued a yellow card can result in banning. A person can be banned either temporarily or permanently. If you are banned do no resign up with a different name. We ban by more than username -- so that process won't work. However, if we discover you did this, your banning will be changed to a permanent ban. 10. Your signature photos can not be larger than 500x100 pixels. Avatars can be no larger than 80 x 80. Large, slow loading signatures and avatars visually pollute the board, enlarge threads and slow down modem users. Show respect for your fellow posters by ensuring your signature, if used, is somewhat discreet, space efficient and quick loading. If you use other message boards and don't want to change it for this one, then disable your signature when you post at AFU. You will be warned if your signature or avatar gets out of hand. 11. Do not abuse smiley usage or CAPITAL LETTER’S. It is not necessary to use lots of smilies or all CAPS in one post. Please only use the smilies in moderation. You will be warned for excessive smiley usage. 12. Spam is not acceptable. It is not acceptable to add one or two word responses to every thread. This is considered spamming. For most people this is not a problem. However, we have had people who went into every thread and wrote "yes", "I agree", etc. So, members open up the thread and see that. So basically, use those in moderation. Spam posts will be deleted upon detection and without warning. 13. If you make a mistake or forget something, edit your post and do not double post. If you realize that you typed something wrong or have forgotten to include something, please don’t make an additional post. Every post can be edited by its author so just click the edit button and change whatever you need to. 14. Porn is never acceptable. 15. Do not direct link pictures unless you've been given permission to do so. If we receive a complaint from a Webmaster, you will receive an immediate yellow card. 16. If you don’t understand a decision, ask an administrator. We are always happy to hear from you. 17. Keep posts in the forums that they pertain to. We have reorganized the forums and boards.
